Discover where art is made in the Sydenham and Marrickville area and explore hidden artists’ studios, independent galleries and quirky artist-run initiatives.

In collaboration with Inner West Council, Kultura Trail offers an exclusive look into the space of burgeoning and well-known artists in the Sydenham and Marrickville area through a self-guided, gamified treasure hunt experience. You get to visit 8 different studios covering a range of art disciplines such as ceramics, paintings, photography, performance art and woodwork, just to name a few.

These studios are opening their doors to the public for one weekend only and you’ll get a chance to attend free workshops and demonstrations, create a fun communal artwork, interact with the artists, and learn their process in their own studios!

What to expect? Indonesian traditional dance performance, wheel throwing demonstrations, artisanal markets, woodworking workshops, live paintings, artist talks, live music + surprises.

Perfect for art lovers and the art-curious. This experience is also family-friendly.

Price: Free – every participating adult must register

How: This is a self-guided walking tour experience involving scanning QR codes at each studio, so a smartphone with internet connection is necessary. Upon registering, we will email you the Starting Point of the trail & some instructions.
